Throughout your classmates' presentations, you were exposed to a variety of cultural foods and traditions. How did these presentations shape your understanding of different cultures? Share your opinion on what stood out most.

Prompt Response: The presentations helped to shape my understandings of different cultures because it gave me an insight from someone actually a part of the culture into what foods are actually the most crucial. My views on other's cultures were likely based on stereotypes or from my own limited experiences with the food. For example, Ant's presentation on Indian food stood out to me a lot because I thought I had a good understanding of Indian food, with dishes like chicken tikka masala and  naan bread, but when he gave his presentation, I hadn't even heard of most of the dishes and learned a lot.

Summary: Today in class we gave our presentations on cultural food.

Reflection: I got a better understanding of foods in different cultures.
